About: I am an Assistant Professor in Transport Planning at Northeastern University London. And I am also a Honorary Research fellow at the Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis (CASA) at University College London (UCL).

Training: I am a civil engineer by training, but my background ranges over several disciplines. At Politecnico di Milano I graduated in civil engineering and environmental science. Later, I did a MSc in structural engineering and finally, during my PhD, I specialised in software development for multi-objective spatial optimisation for sustainable infrastructure development.

Research interests: urban models study and development, geospatial science, mapping and GIS, strategic infrastructure systems resilience to natural (and human-made) disasters, spatial-interaction models of human and economic activities, spatial optimisation, smart cities, complex systems, networks.
